WHAT IS ECO, EXACTLY?
ECo, or Environmental Coalition, is a relatively new governmental body dedicated to changing the Bryn Mawr community into a more sustainable place. Since 2014, Bryn Mawr's Environmental Coalition has been promoting sustainability and environmental activism throughout our school and wider community. This website is to keep the community updated on our work, as well as environmental items happening on the local and national scale.

WHAT DO WE DO?
You'll find us involved in almost every aspect of sustainability here at Bryn Mawr. Under our guidance, the community garden has blossomed (pun intended) with new developments, including the addition of rain barrels, pollinator plants, and beehives. In addition to developing Bryn Mawr's environmental program, we engage the wider community by bringing in local environmental speakers to give presentations to the upper school, hosting Earth Week activities, service trips, and local hikes.
WHO ARE WE?
If you have any suggestions, feel free to come talk to one of us!

Hi I'm Kiki! My favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip and I'm a real foodie. I love hiking and eating with my friends and traveling with my family. I have a bunny named little bunny

Hey! I'm Maggie. My favorite pastimes include hiking, avoiding running at all costs, and arguing that no other movie can top Thor Ragnorok. I love gardening, tater tots, and aspiring to steal one of Mr. Aman's little spider plants. You can find me staying up to date in environmentalism, in the library, talking about my dog, or as far away from the gym as possible

Catch me outside (no, seriously). Usually hiking. Or running. Mostly running. Especially running. When I'm not yelling about water conservation, I enjoy reading, eating, and sleeping, with some occasional breathing. Lately, I've been designing this website, so please enjoy!

Heyo! I'm Geneva. My favorite season is summer and I love earrings and all kinds of fruits. When I'm not studying or wasting time on the internet, I may be reading or hanging out with my dog, Miko, or my cat, Oliver.

Hi, I'm Emma! On my off days, you can find me biking, rock climbing, hiking, or just being outdoors. I'm that person who comes back from a quick walk on the beach with a handful of plastic that I just picked up. I love the earth because of the beauty and inspiration it gives me. I believe that if we all do our part, we can change the world for the better!

Sereena Knight, Senior Rep
Hi everyone! My name’s Sereena Knight, and I am an Environmental Coalition class representative for the 12th grade! I love spending time outside in nature with friends and family (especially visiting national parks), learning about different conservation techniques and environmental policies, and sharing my passion for environmental issues with you all! My favorite animals are guinea pigs and bears, my favorite foods are sushi and cheesecake, and my favorite things about nature are the season changes and mountain ranges. In college, I am also planning on studying environmental studies! I’m so excited to share with you all my ideas about how we can make Bryn Mawr a more eco-friendly school!
Cynthia Somers, Secretary-Treasurer
Hi! I'm Cynthia! I'm a junior and this is my 3rd year being a part of ECo. My favorite ~environmental~ pastimes include hiking at Lake Roland, picking up trash, telling other people to pick up trash, and finding cool vegetarian food. If I could, I'd sleep outside in a hammock every day of the year, but sadly, we live in Maryland and winter exists.

I enjoy photography and collecting art pieces from new places I visit. My goals in life are: 1. to have a newfoundland, doberman, and/or chihuahua in my family and 2. to be able to fly a plane.

I love dogs and my chicken Artemis Fowl. I'm not vegan but I know a lot about vegan ice cream because I'm lactose intolerant. My life goals include adopting several dogs, moving a cabin in Vermont with my dogs and getting on the Great British Baking show. Not necessarily in that order.

I like to cook, go on hikes, hang out with friends and family. I am also learning how to sail! I want to help our earth because it needs us!
